We began class by discussing the articles that they read for today. I broke them into groups told them to pick a passage that they thought was interesting, disagreed with, etc. and reflect on it for the class. After a bit, we went around the room and each group talked about their selected passage. After I felt we had covered important points in the two articles, I gave them their next assignment: a protest sign, to be made with the website piktochart. We spent some time going over how to use piktochart and the students spent the rest of the time working on their signs.
