Week 20 February
I returned everyone’s first assignment at the beginning of the week, and we’ve spent a lot of time this week talking about student habits (e.g., time management) and writing habits that are too often neglected (e.g., revising and editing). In our discussions about the habits that characterize our student practices, we also talked about the rhetorical affects those habits can have on others.
More to the point of the week’s agenda, we focused on the rough drafts of the proposals that the students created for their projects in the second unit. The final drafts of the proposals are due Monday (27 February), and each student should have specific revisions to work on over the weekend. They should also be thinking about the genre of proposals and the specific format that I’m expecting.
